Who remembers the good old days of video? Even better, who remembers the days of retail videotapes with two films on them? As someone born in the mid-1980s, I remember how excited I was seeing these double-features in stores around Britain and Ireland.

Can anyone list any two-film/one-video sets they either saw or owned in the days before DVD? I'll post a few examples here, with pictures, to refresh people's memories. If you know more examples, please name them. I'm in the mood for a nostalgia overload. Thanks.

I know! And that's the rare, theatrical version of Blade Runner, not the Director's Cut or any subsequent version.

Ha, I owned the T1 & T2 double pack. It was probably my most watched video.

My favourite was Scum (the '79 theatrical one, not the earlier TV one) paired up with Tim Kincaid(better known as hardcore gay and watersports porn director Joe Gage)'s 80s soft-core prison farce, Bad Girls (sic) Dormitory. Never before (or since) have two films been so badly matched.

I had a Beverly Hills cop 1 + 2 tape. It was a pain if I fancied watching no2 and the tape had been rewound

Of the ones above, I used to have the Lethal Weapon 1 and 2 VHS and the Cyborg/Bloodsport one. They got frequent viewings. I also used to have this-

Until I loaned it to someone and never got it back. In retrospect, the transfer was shit anyway, the first film was far too dark and you couldn't see what was going on. I now have the Blu Ray of the first film and it looks fab. And I had-

Yeah I was just thinking that too.

This is all really familiar but I can't think of any that we had, yet the memory of what a pain it was to watch the 2nd movie by itself is still there from when I was younger...

The first v.h.s I had was ghostbusters 1/2. I also had a fair few 'carry on' double features..

I had this but it came with Death Warrant, Cyborg and Blood Sport and the sleeve was blue. Loved those movies! 14.99 from Woolworths in 1996!
