So there you have it! Any suprises for you? Anything you aren't happy with?

I was very happy with all the acting winners, so pleasantly suprised for Christoph Waltz! It was lovely how touched he was.

My main issue is with the Best Director category - it was doomed from the start. Both Tarantino and Affleck were more deserving (IMO) than Lee, although out of the selections then I agree Ang Lee was the best choice.

DDL winning was a very special moment, I'm so happy it was Meryl who was the one to give it to him. It was amazing seeing two of the finest actors in history sharing the stage together.

And Jennifer's fall - iconic

Really pleased to see Daniel Day Lewis pick up the Oscar, his third. The man is an absolute legend

Couldn't agree more. My favourite actor ever; am thrilled to bits he is now officially the most decorated actor in the history of the Academy. He seems like such a nice, genuine, humble soul as well; not at all concerned with the trappings of fame and celebrity.

It's properly made my day, it has.

Yaaay! Had a few bob on Lee to win at 4-1. The money won't change me, though.

Really pleased to see Argo pick up best film (still annoyed at the academy for omitting Affleck for best director nom though), one of my favourite films of last year. Also nice to see much love for Life of Pi too.

Pretty good results, I'm glad that it was spread out over the number of films and by the time it came to Best Film it was still anyone's game. Most deserving awards went to Quentin Tarantino, Jennifer Lawrence and Adele.

Yes I liked that too. It could not be said that one film 'sweeped the board' which was quite nice. i really liked how many awards this year were so open. Best Director, Best Film, Best Supporting Actor and Best Actress were all pretty open.

Had a fun night, enjoyed the show

Found Macfarlane to be a good host, had a lot of humor in it (especially in the beginning of the show and Ted was brilliant . The performances were great, especially the one from the cast of Les Mis, and DDL`s speech was great!

No big surprises with the awards themselves. The only surprises were Jennifer Lawrence and (a bit less) Christoph Waltz. I picked Jessica Chastain and Philip Seymour Hoffman as winners myself.

On the next year!

I'd be sad to think she was resorting to Meryl's 'ooo, little me' BS tbh.

Nah, I don't buy that. Looks a genuine trip to me. Why would she?

I've seen others say something along the same lines - the 3 in a row dress issues and the attention it gets.

I doubt many of them have tried to walk up stairs in a monstrosity like that though

Why pull the same trick 3 times though? I've seen the way she runs she's just a bit gawky. Seems to match her personality. If it is an act she's bloody good at it.

Wasn't the same, really. Nor was it suggested the first, or even second, were deliberate (that I could see).

And, as I said, it seems a stretch given how difficult the dress looked to be move in in the first place.

The best foreign film race was obvious this year. It's interesting how different countries pick their entries. Someone did an investigative report on India's selection process http://thebigindianpicture.com/2013/02/the-big-jinx/
