On the voting front, was there anyone other than Elab who missed out because of the shift in deadline? Because I was thinking of allowing people who missed the chance to nom to still vote for the winner.

Me.

I only noticed last night that the deadline had been changed and I was nowhere near completing my ballot then

I missed it too and was going to send in my list today, so yes would like to vote! Rockwell's inclusion pleases me, but the lack of nominations for Rust and Bone and Zero Dark Thirty (Bigelow was robbed!) is annoy.

Oh and another slightly dumb question, do we only only vote for one for each, i.e. our choice for winner, or do we do a list and put them in order of favour? Assume its the former.

Yep, just your favourite in each category now. I'll note down for yourself, Harry and Elab that you'll be sending votes.

I've had pms from Imp', MA, Paul and Gimli so far. I haven't checked the email yet, but if anyone has sent a pm and I haven't named you there then I didn't get it.

I emailed that hotmail account you posted yesterday, rather than your PMs.

For your winner votes? I have it open now and there's nothing new in the email at all, the only one from you is your nominations last night, and nothing has been caught up in the junk mail. Could you send them again? Pm them if it's easier.

Yeah those were nominations rather than winners. Were they counted?

I'll PM them just in case they weren't. Someone has to readdress the Django/Silver Linings/Moonrise Kingdom love-in.

I've PMd. I was a bit confused as I assumed (having not really thought about it) that Django would be adapted. Although I'm guessing, now, the Hobbit song is original because of the music? ('cos I knew every damn word of it )

Can I get away with not submitting a vote in that category or must I choose one? Do you know if ballots ever have blank spots at the real thing?

Got votes from yourself and Elephant Boy, also got Qwerty's nominations again. Your nominations were counted last night before the deadline, Qwerty, all I need now is your winners from the actual nominations.

Django - It's not a sequel based on an existing character. It's just paying homage through the name, so it's original.

For blank spots, well I can't force you to vote in every category.

I'm rewatching a film just now - is there an option to maybe change one vote? Thoroughly enjoying the rewatch

Timbzy, got your votes, thanks, and yep, it was just the fave in each category you needed to do.

Elab, only if it's the category you left blank. If you've voted in a category already then it can't be changed.

I'll sort my votes out tomorrow morning.

Are we still just voting in the categories we voted for our nominations?

You can vote for your fave in every category. I suppose if we were being completely fair we'd all only vote for categories where we'd seen every nomination, but if the real Academy can't be arsed to do it then why should we?

Winner votes now sent.

Hopefully we can all atone for some quite underwhelming nomination choices and ensure the RZA wins more oscars than the Hobbit.

Thank you for all the work/tallying etc though Rawls.

Got them, thanks.

And no probs, it's fun.

I think that just leaves 'barb, Rinc, Garv and Ultimo left to send their votes.

As we're so close to the end of this, if anyone wants to follow Imp and make a start on their lists/picking films to watch for the next year, here's the eligible list

http://www.andtheoscargoesto.com/askoscar/drl.php?yr=84

I'm going to leave longer for the nomination period this time though. This is just for anyone who wants to get a jump on things.

Anyone care to bet against the obvious winner for 2011?

I have discovered that one film basically takes up Best Supporting Actor

It should get an award.

I'm definitely putting that down as a For Your Consideration. That and Ryan Goslings abs.

My votes have been PM'ed. Trying to choose Best Actor between two certain performances was heart-breaking for me

Possibly. Does it matter if I haven't seen all of the nominations?

When do you need the votes in by?

I forgot about the 3rd, even though I just skimmed past it doing the Best film shortlist. Which is basically a combination of foreign and animation!

Just got them.

MC, a lot of people probably won't have seen all of the noms, so it's fine to vote. I'd need your winner in each category by this time tomorrow night.

I have Beasts of the Southern Wild to watch tomorrow night, and then afterwards I'll probably cast some votes.
