bound to be uncut 15 rated on BR but surely they wont f**k DVDers out of the uncut version especially since it was kind of a special case thing to get the 12A in the first place

The dvd for Taken 2 was the uncut version so I assume it'll be the same with Die Hard 5

BBFC did nothing to Die Hard 5. That was done by the production company.

I'll get the Blu Ray as I have the first three in that format. I'll pick up the fourth one at some point too (have the 'Harder' cut on dvd).

Harder, softer, what's the difference? The movie itself is a total piece of shit and no version is worth multiple viewings in my opinion. It will be the first Die Hard movie I won't buy and can honestly say I will never watch it again.

Just to be awkward, they'll probably release the 'harder' version (i.e. the US theatrical version) on DVD & the director's cut that Moore says he's working on on Blu only.

Yeah, that's fair enough but for some of us, the dvd or Bu Ray will be the first time we see it as we didn't get to do so at the cinema

Will be a first time viewing on blu ray for me. Really looking forward to it regardless of all the bad reviews. I think it still looks like a kickass action movie.

i often find if a film gets trashed to bits, when i eventually see it i never seem to think its that bad and often end up really enjoying it (more than i probably would have had it not been so trashed) - the siding with the underdog thing.
in that way AGDTDH is perhaps the most John McClane of the series

I agree. I've really enjoyed lots of movies that got a major trashing prior to me watching them. They're hardly ever as bad as reviews and general feedback seem to suggest. Case in point; Skyline
