My little girl caught Adventures in Babysitting on channel 5 recently and really liked it. However the DVD version we have was the full 12/15 certificate rated one with swearing and a fair few questionable scenes for a 6 year old. So I cut it myself with no swearing and removing the unsuitable bits.

Yes I am!

I do a similar thing with Ghostbusters for my oldest who's nearly five. There's nothing he can't handle scares-wise (surprisingly) but I've seen it enough times to know when to mute the swear-words, and I skip the ghost-blowjob scene, of course. No doubt Drooch would want to call social services to alert them to my son's "plight".

Guys, you are littering British cinemas with butchered films and dropping them like rat turds.

The only problem I really have when I see a movie has a 12a rating, is that I know theres a good chance my experience at the cinema could potentially be ruined. Because of parents bringing their kids as young as 3 to see a film such as The Dark Knight Rises or Fast and Furious six which are not films suitable for anyone under the age of 12 at all and seeing it as late as 8PM when a lot of kids should be in bed.
