Yeah, that's all I can find too. I'm not sure if that's something to do with Michael Moore's rule changes or not. Maybe the list was only available to the documentary branch, rather than a formal one released to the press.

If people really want to vote for the documentary category then what I'll do is this, if you've seen at least 6 films from that shortlist of 15 (or if the longer list is found in time) then you can vote for the category, as long as you submit a full five votes. What seems absolutely pointless is having lists come in with the same three films on them and then having the final two places decided by just two votes.

Also, I'm only going to take votes for the winners from people who also voted for the nominees.

Last question, I was thinking there were two ways we could do this.

One is the original idea that you get your nominations in by Saturday night and I announce the nominations on Oscar day, with the winners coming a few days later.

The other is that we bump forward the deadline for nominations to Thursday, I can announce the nominations on Friday morning, and if everyone can send in their votes for the winners round by Sunday morning, I can announce the winners Sunday night before the real Oscars.

The second one is a tighter deadline, but as the second round is basically just picking your favourite one in each category, it shouldn't take too long to get through it.

Struggling a bit to settle on some nominations. No wonder though with that list of eligible films.

What exactly is the academy's criteria when it comes to foreign language? By that I mean having things eligible for all categories, rather than just the foreign language oscar. Is it all down to whether it's had a distribution in the states? It seems a bit strange only having a handful there, whilst Project X & That's My Boy sit there proudly.

Oh and a documentary category is a must.

I think if we could find that full list of 126 eligible films then the doc category would be easy. When it comes down to just fifteen to choose from then it really does depend on how many voters have seen enough of the films to make it a fair vote.

And yep, for foreign films it's the same as English language films, they have to be shown

It's no problem on my side because the counting will be fairly swift for these lists.

Indeed. I've spent the last half hour trying to whittle down my Best Picture list, there are too many from two different lists I have, Best of 2012 and 2011.

There are a few films I absolutely love but in comparison aren�t as good as films I really, really liked, if that makes sense.

Also I saw Silver Linings Playbook a few days ago and was completely taken by surprise as to how good it was. I mean very, very surprised. Bradley Cooper giving an excellent performance, who'd have thought, eh?
