ORIGINAL: DancingClown The thing that confuses me the most about his story is that surely this wasn't the first time his girlfriend might've used the bathroom in the middle of the night? Or had she previously been required to give advance notice of any nocturnal toilet breaks, and this time forgot? Jesus. The whole thing stinks like yesterday's diapers. I'm quite a frequent midnight bathroom user myself and when I go I don't even close the door. Why did she lock the door at three in the morning to use the bathroom? Especially looking at the floorplan of the bedroom, the bathroom is quite large, the toilet itself quite a distance from the bed and in a separate closet from the rest of the bathroom. In my mind, in a bathroom that size, at three in the morning, making sure the toilet door was locked so my boyfriend didn't hear my peeing noises would be the last thing from my mind. Of course we're never going to know what her personal bathroom habits where so maybe she was the type to lock the door behind her at all times. I don't even close the door when I go to the bog, never mind lock it. Especially if there's no lights on and it's pitch dark. As I said before, I find the whole 'not noticing she wasn't in the bed' thing deeply odd. At no point did he think to actually check her whereabouts before firing his gun, apparently through fear. Fear does weird things to people, sure, but if he was so terrified of crime (as he claimed), why did he leave his windows open? I don't even leave my windows open at night, and I've not had any death threats sent to me yet. Although having said that, the prosecution have done a shit-awful job so far.
