I have to agree. If the shoe was on the other foot and I was in Oscar's shoes, I'd be hot footing it out of there.

If he's guilty he should definitely stand trial and come clean, rather than getting cold feet and legging it.

 I've got no problems at all with jokes about death, murder, disability, etc just as long as the next time an actor or director dies and someone makes a quip it isn't met with disapproval or a ticking off from a mod.

It's not absolute and is down to context. Some threads run to puns, some don't, Some people genuinely think the pun ones are sometimes in remarkably poor taste. I happen to think so here - a young woman has been killed and all the world wants to do is think up blade runner jokes. Most based around the fact the man who apparently shot her is disabled.

It's often a question for any of these threads whether the general feeling is it's gone to far. That doesn't seem to be the case here. So I'll just continue to avoid reading the posts.

Im with DC on this one. Oscar has fucked up here, such a shame because he was awesome to watch in the games and there was a buzz about him for a while. Accident or not he has killed his partner, and is now to be charged with her murder. Hes screwed himself and im completely shocked by the news.

I don't expect anything, merely expressing an opinion which is allowed. And I've not just wandered here you fool, I was a member of these forums years ago in the orange days. So leave the youngling crap, next you'll be calling me a n00b. I know that every story is an excuse for bad jokes and puns, as long as its open season on everything it's no problem. I have loads of bad taste child abuse puns ready just on the off chance, seeing as its established its fine. I'm not some prude, far from it. But as said, I am allowed to voice my opinion just as much as everyone else is allowed to make jokes about it. Cos you know, this forum doesn't operate just for people who haven't just wandered in and don't know the rules. Idiotic thing to say.

 There's definitely something fishy about the mistaking her for a burglar line. How many burglars in South Africa look like blonde, leggy models? Was she wearing a balaclava? Fair enough if she was, but to mistake a little thing like her for a burglar is bullshit, if I'm honest.

Not saying I condone The Sun, its abysmal and they should be held to account for it. But this thread is hardly the first port of call of decency and respect, is it?

 The ONLY way I can think it happened IF what he claims happened IS true, is that he heard noise assuming it to be a burglar, grabbed his gun, didn't switch the lights on, saw a shadow and then, hand up in front of his face and with his eyes closed, just shot "blindly" in the general area. Otherwise, I can't see how he would have not known it wasn't a burglar after the first or second shot.

Now, whilst the above is plausible, one other BIG assumption has to be made for it to be - that he has never fired a gun before.

I read he's still strongly denying murder (or, at least, pre-meditated murder), so I suppose we'll have to wait to see what the next few days/weeks brings.



P.S. - I'm not glossing over my pun from page 1, just thinking more seriously about what may (or may not) have happened now.
