Here's mine. Connection, time, imagery, and themes in the film.The use of a compass to find ones way. I had fun doing this, saw the film in the states back in November too and it blew me away. Simon.

Here is my attempt. I have focused on the birthmark that a lot of the characters share throughout the book, I hope this is included within the film adaptation.

This is a pen sketch I drew of Tom Hanks and Halle Berry as Zachry and Meronym in Cloud Atlas - two great characters in a great film.
I drew it, then added the logo digitally. Enjoy!

And now for my final upload - Zhou Xun as Sonmi-451, perhaps the most important character in the film. I really enjoyed drawing this picture (with just a normal pen on office paper).
I had lots and lots of fun on this competition, and I really don't envy the judges - there are so many good posters and creations! Well done all, and enjoy!

I think someone at Empire has lost the iPad :)
This is my first time back to the page after the comp ended and I assumed someone had won it (obviously not me as I hadn't heard from Empire), so pleased to see I'm still in with a chance.
My fingers are back to being crossed.

Hi guys

I'm about to start working on concept art (posters/record covers etc) for my band The Nameless. I can only dream about achieving the quality of work you guys have managed with these posters. Can you tell me what software/techniques etc you use? I especially love some of the abstract/concept ones.

I'm hoping to incorporate themes of faceless people and globes (something we did in the past) as our name is a nod to all the people of the world who work for others selflessly and without recognition.

How do you guys do it?

(of course if you want to have a go at one I wouldn't stop you!)
