So, I'm listening to the new BC album right now and I can't believe there hasn't been a thread put up for this brilliant band before now (unless I'm not looking hard enough and there are 200 posts a few pages back, apologies, if so...)

'Opposites' is a bloody great album. BC are now playing arenas and headlining festivals after putting out their sixth album. It's so rare that bands get to that stage without getting fucked off by the record company because they didn't sell a million with their first album. I'm not going to lie, I only got into them with their 4th album, 'Puzzle', but I've loved them ever since their 5th, 'Only Revolutions'... seen them live a couple of times, so damn good.

Any thoughts, guys...

I wish they did more stuff like on Infinity Land (far and away there best album) but I really enjoyed Only Revolutions. From what I've heard of Black Chandelier and Stingin' Belle seem of a similar vein. Payday on Thursday so will likely purchase then. Mon the Biffy!

Only one playthrough so far but I'm going to hammer it tomorrow on the way to/home from work. Bloody good though! Sorry Clowny, Blackened Sky is still their best for me! A few songs on that sill give me shivers...

I like me some Biffy.

Haven't bought the new LP but I hope to spin it at some point.

I've never really been able to get into the earlier material bar the odd song but Puzzle and Only Revolutions are aces.

Hoping there's another Folding Stars / Many Of Horror type ballad on this one.

Well, good to see the Bif getting straight to No.1 in the album charts with Opposites.  They're playing Belfast next month, so it'll be good to see them live again as I reckon quite a few of the new tracks have the potential to become show-stoppers.  It'll be strange seeing a band that I first saw in a local bar finally playing the big arenas, but as long as they keep playing the oldies I'll be happy
