Very sad news for all those folks losing their jobs.

On a slightly selfish note, gutted they're closing the Watford branch - that's me quite out of easy reach of one now. I'm surprised they're shutting it to be honest - I think the Harlequin is one of the major shopping centres in Hertfordshire and given they're also closing the St Albans one, I'd imagine you'd have to go quite some distance to get to one now - either steel yourself for central London or a trip to Milton Keynes!

With our Waterstones also now gone, I'm finding it hard to think of reasons to visit my local town centre!

The Hemel Hempstead one isn't far from the Watford store (well, compared to London or Milton Keyenes), although it's half the size.

Scratch that, noticed whilst in town yesterday that the Hemel one is shutiing as well, balls.

Just been looking at the list in fact, High Wycombe, Hatfield, Watford, Hemel etc, all shutting down. Most of the Blockbusters in my area seem to be shutting as well. Basically, short of driving to Milton Keynes, I've got nowhere near selling anything of the sort, except Tesco's.

**Sigh!**

Some good news at last and, now they've gotten to the end of the report, it also sounds as if all the Fopps might be saved as well.

Very sad to read that HMV's flagship Oxford Street store is closing down and moving to a smaller venue. I love that bloody store, it's been my entertainment Mecca since I was a nipper. Apparently a shop of its size just isn't sustainable under the present climate. Fucking shame.

EDIT - No wait...the one on Bond Street already "re-opened" as it was the site of the very first original shop. But the big one is definitely closing. Bummer.

Sports Direct? Ugh.
