Fantastic, I may have to tune in for that one.

Is it cynical of me to suggest that by walking out his appearance on that show has got a whole load more publicity than if he'd stayed?

I can see it both ways Preston is a media whore who is famous for being married to a nobody and being a nobody rather than for musical ability or talent.  In the same respect I don't like the quite vicious bullying which has occurred in the most recent series of Buzzcocks and feel that more of the guests shouldn't stand for it.

It's hardly vicious.

And what makes it any more harsh than when Lamar laid into the likes of Kensie on Buzzcocks?

You can hardly go on that show and then complain about how you are treated.  Why else did Preston think they'd booked him? Because of his glittering music career?

Anyone who has heard him DJ on Virgin Radio may think that anything that stops short of lynching Preston live on air in the middle of the studio is far too leniant on him.

Preston's a cock who got what he deserved. I have no idea what he 'got' but he deserved it all the same. He clearly thinks he's crawled up the celeb ladder and achieved the rank of Y-lister - how little he knows.

It is just it used to be that everyone got a dose of humiliation laid at their door back in the greasy Mark Lamarr days (arrogant tit that he was).  It just seems now that they tend to focus on one individual such as the Penny Smith episode where they picked on her solely and continuously which to me appears to be bullying.

Look, people forget that celebrities are still just like you or me.  If you went on that show and some twat started slagging off your girlfriend you'd get pretty angry too.

'Celebrities' shouldn't go on Buzzcocks if they don't want to be ridiculed, its a key ingredient of the show and Preston obviously realised he was out of his depth. The 'best' comeback he could make in the press was calling Simon Amstell a public school boy - scathing! It's exactly what happened to Boris Johnson when he first went on HIGNFY. He and the Tories were savaged by Merton and Hislop, and he clearly couldn't retaliate, so after the recording he claimed that everything said on the show was scripted and the guests were given the answers to the questions prior to recording. Difference is, Boris apologised and admitted that he over-reacted; Preston is a tit whose appearance on Celebrity BB and subsequent sham wedding didn't quite get him the recognition he so clearly thinks he deserves.

Great to see a return to form last night...especially from Bill Bailey.

How freaky was the guy in the final parade?? Where do they find these people?!!?

I watched it last night and I don't know why Simon Anstell? thought that thing he did with the chair was funny.

the chair to chesney hawkes at the end was comedy genius. Simon has proved to me that he's comedy gold on the show. I hardly used to watch it until he started. Lamarr was good but amstell is better.

Very.  And the more comments Bill made, the more "hillbilly psycho" he seemed to get!

Not someone I'd like to upset!

Yay for Buzzcocks being back. It was a good episode but I actually felt a bit sorry for 'number 5', he should have whacked Simon Amstell! And as funny as Laurene Laverne was as guest presenter I still regret not taping the one Ricky Wilson from Kaiser Chiefs presented, he was fantastic...

P.S I've heard they replaced Preston with a lookalike from the audience so should be definitely worth a look just to see what Bill Bailey makes of it all!

Yes he was. I like Simon Amstell but given the choice, I'd've rather had Ricky Wilson.

Funniest Buzzcocks in ages. Loved both the above digs at Donny and how they kept playing the Sex Pistols. Amstell actually picked on someone who really deserved it, this time. Look forward to seing Preston's walk-out next week.

It wouldn't surprise me if the audience member that replaces Preston is actually the hillbilly.

Don't watch Buzzcocks and haven;t done for ages. The last series with Mark Lamarr (god I hate that smug man) were embarrassing, I liked it with Phil Jupitus and Sean Lock but for some reason Bill Bailey has never been that funny on it (though I love his stand-up).

I am, however, going to watch next week as I hear that one of the guests will be The Mighty Boosh's Noel Fielding! Woohoo! He's getting about a bit nowadays isn't he!
