The first one I am really excited for is Yo La Tengo's new LP out 15 Jan there always seem to come up with interesting stuff and really push things, hope to see them live in March too. Also Johnny Marr's debut should be very interesting, suspect it will either be terrible or brilliant.

Looking forward to hearing more from Haim too, and theres a new Adam and the Ant Album coming out.

Does Louis C.K. have an album coming out? If so that one is the one I'm really looking forward to.

Is Kanye coming out with an album?

LongLiveA$ap by A$ap Rocky
Danny Brown album
ARTPOP by Lady Gaga (ehh, hopefully it will be like Fame Monster)

The new Yo La Tengo album is out in less than two weeks time. This makes MC a very happy bunny.

It would be nice to see new albums from Spoon (Although I believe Britt is preoccupied with touring Divine Fits. A follow-up to Transference will most likely surface in 2014); Steel Panter; The Stone Roses; Real Estate; OK Go; Mogwai; The Decemberists; Battles; Cold War Kids; Feist; Foo Fighters.

As far as I know, there will definitely be new material from We Are Scientists, which is obviously a good thing.

There's only 1 at the moment and that's the second LP from Dragon Turtle on La Société Expéditionnaire. Their first has become one of my all time favourites.

The last I heard it was 'definitely' out late 2013. I'd be fairly confident of it as well since they've been pretty consistent with an album every three years.

And MBV finished mastering the new album on the 21st according to the Facebook page. if it's not happening this year, it's never happening. (although...)

Things I am looking forward to

M.I.A - "/\/\/\Y/\" was a bit disappointing wasn't it? Born Free and XXXO were amazing singles, but such a patchy album around them. Hopefully now she is at Roc-a-fella, some of Jay-Z's "people" will be like "No Maya you can't put any old thing out now, this has to be quite good" and we have something a bit more like Kala. She can be amazing when she wants to be, and could totally own this year if she likes - it would be fantastic to see her become the big thing she has always been promising to be.

Lady Gaga - ARTPOP is a ridiculous title, but subtlty isn't her strong point, I guess. Still, La Gaga could do with this album being really, really good, after the whole Born This Way thing. I do think it is far too early to write off the person who wrote Just Dance, Poker Face and Bad Romance within a year just yet, so hopefully its going to be amazing.

Azaelia Banks - should finally "drop" Broke With Expensive Taste if she stops dicking around on twitter and leaving record labels for five minutes. 212 was amazing, obviously, so this could be absolutely huge. I am very excited.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs - I really love Karen O and Nick Zinner and the other one, and I think if you could depend on one album being quite good this year, it will probably be this one. Hopefully they can give guitar music a good kick up the arse while they're about.

The Strokes - PLEASE BE GOOD. I would really, really, really like this to be really good. Is This It is obviously amazing but so wildly hit and miss since, a really good Strokes record would make me so happy, I would go back to being a proper indie boy again like the heady days of 2001.

Adam Green and Binki Shapiro: Obviously Adam Green doing a duet album with a girl is going to raise the question "Hey Adam, why don't you just get Kimya Dawson on the phone and do a Moldy Peaches reunion already?" but considering his last proper album album Minor Love was his most grown up album yet (only one reference to flatulence on the whole thing) and Dawson spends most of her time on twitter arguing about cats, maybe it is for the best.

Primal Scream - Though considering the rate that Primal Scream members are rejoining their old bands it could just be a whole album of Bobby Gillespie tunelessly humming the riff to (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction to himself for an hour.

Johnny Marr - An actual solo album! Unlikely to have a cameo by Mike Joyce.

Klaxons - Still think they had loads of potential, and if they released a really great third album this year, all would be well, and the NME might not go under.

Beyoncé - as long as she lays off the ballads a bit this time. We know you can sing, honest. Less Halo, more Crazy in Love plz.

Robyn - Maybe the wider pop world will take more notice this time

Little Boots - see above

Annie - See above above

£1 Fish Man - Bound to be a classic.

Scott Walker - Its been four weeks already, Walker, get a move on.

Do you really want mature music from Green through, sure some of his solo offerings have been lovely and catchy, but he has always retained that dark sense of humour and cartoonish nature from the Moldy Peaches days and I wouldn't have it any other way.

A few too many talentless divas on your list for my liking, never saw that much in Little Boots to be honest

He is 30 something now, he can't keep on doing dick jokes forever

The early Little Boots demos were awesome, and she's great live. Album was pretty decent - its still on rotation in my house a few years later.

Azealia Banks - Love all her songs that she has put out so far. '212' is just brilliant.

Beyonce - '4' was her best album so far. Just because it wasn't a huge success comparative to her previous albums, I hope she doesn't hook up with Guetta or whatever. I'd rather have another greaalbum as good as '4'.

MKS - if theres any song as good as 'Overload' I'll be happy.

The new album by The National is apparently out earlier than I thought (May, according to Uncut). Lovely.
