Meltdowns are fine, and those who I think are susceptible to them will NEVER be blocked by me.

It's more the passive-aggressive wankers who do nothing but troll. I'd like to do what Rhubarb does and just scroll past them, but inevitably I'll end up reading what they say and either a) get pissed off and dragged into an argument or b) exercise great self-control and not say anything and then stew about it muttering angrily instead.

Also, I'd recommend the e-cig route if you can for reducing the cigarettes. If it can work with a decades long chain smoker it can work for anyone.

And congratulations - getting off either is no mean feat

Harry, you're doing really well. Personally, my advice would have been to wait until the spring; better weather, more chance to get out and about and a general improvement in mood meaning kicking the weed isn't half as painful, but you seem to be managing. As for the sweats, do you drink a lot too (booze I mean?), this can contribute a hell of a lot.

I should be starting my Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (the acronym is too open to abuse on this forum

) training again at the end of the month so that'll get me out of the house 3 nights a week. That should help alleviate the boredom a bit. I can't wait for that to be honest because one of the sessions is on Friday night and I reckon if my resolve is going to waver it'll be at the weekends.

Chief, I did consider kicking them both at the same time but I thought it'd be pushing it a bit. I've only had about 6 ciggies in the last week so I'm not too concerned about that at the moment. I've never been much of a cigarette smoker anyway apart from in spliffs of course and when I'm drinking so I don't think it'll take too much effort to kick them when the weed withdrawals have gone. If I do struggle then I can get patches off the doctor as I'm a registered asthmatic (although fuck knows why, I have an inhaler just in case but haven't really used it in ages).

Reb, I haven't been much of a drinker for a while. I used to go out a couple of times a week but over the last year I'd say I went out about 5 or 6 times and I'm not much of a house drinker. I can see that changing now though because as stated above most of my social life has revolved around weed for the best part of my adult life (especially during the last year) and I'm going to have to do something to counter that lack of social interaction.

Had my first decent night's sleep since I stopped last night and I've also started remembering my dreams. Something I've not been able to do since I was a teenager.
