I only had him at #3! (calm down dear etc.). Will put some thought into my replacement and let you know asap Mr Lime.

Edit: I've gone for Wilko Johnson (of Blockheads and Dr Feelgood fame).

Indeed, the first points of 2013 are on the board. Superdan, Mister Coe and Harry Lime (yay) all pick up 23 points (+ position bonus) following the granting of Michael Winner's death wish...

01. Superdan - 31
02. Mister Coe - 29
03. Harry Lime - 24

Like Superdan, I have also added Wilko Johnson as my replacement.

As for Mister Coe. I will not only need a replacement for Michael Winner to slot into your list at number eleven, but you also need a name to go in at number nine as you have Nelson Mandela in your list twice!!!

Oh, that's what you get for posting after a few beers...

I'll take Kirk Douglas and Peter O'Toole. Both legends but if they get me a few points...

Haha! Which one is replacing Mandela and which one is replacing the late Mr Winner?

Can you update your original list please, fella?

1 - Prince Phillip
2 - David Bowie (it'll break my heart but, still...)
3 - Macualey Culkin
4 - Thatcher
5 - Michael Winner
6 - Sir Richard Attenborough (again, so sad if it happens...)
7 - Nelson Mandela
8 - Tara Reid (she used to be so cute...)
9 - Nelson Mandela
10 - Terry Practchett

OK, Harry, I'll replace the now-deceased Mr Winner with Peter O'Toole and take my number 9 (the duplicated Mandela) with Kirk Douglas.

And can I just say that although it looks like Mr Bowie (my number 2 choice) isn't, in fact, imminent wormfood as so many people thought, I couldn't be happier about it. A new Bowie album? Get in!

After another measly result last year, here are my picks for 2013:

1. Wilko Johnson (opportunistic, but poppa needs the points)
2. Nelson Mandela - Goodnight, sweet prince
3. Margaret Thatcher - Cactus
4. Prince Philip
5. Lindsay Lohan (the smell of desperation and death is upon her)
6. Fidel Castro
7. Terry Pratchett
8. Macauley Culkin
9. Aretha Frankiln
10. Pope Bendedict XVI

Sub 1 - Muhammad Ali
Sub 2 - Ian Watkins

We have a new leader following the sad death of Trogg's frontman Reg Presley this evening... And the the leader is me! I continue my fine early season form by taking a second scalp of 2013 and picking up 33 glorious points for the privilege.

01. Harry Lime - 57
02. Superdan - 31
02. Mister Coe - 29

For the record, I have added American Football legend Jack Pardee as my replacement.

Cheers Sinatra! You have to play to win in this game! You were the only one with Pardee so I thought I would keep you company!

And they are pretty much my tactics Jonson!

For a bit of fun, I have compiled the ultimate Empire Deadpooler's 2013 list. The list is based on how many dead pool points each celebrity voted for will yield when they die.

For example, Olivia de Havilland is in both Steffols and Pigeon Army's lists. Excluding age bonus, Steffols will pick up nine points should de Havilland pass on and Pigeon Army will pick up seven. Nine plus seven is sixteen, so it De Havilland has a Dead Pool yield on sixteen points! It basically shows who are your favourites not to see 2014! So, your Ultimate Empire Dead Pool of 2013 looks like this...

01. Margaret Thatcher (203)
02. Nelson Mandela (178)
03. George H. W. Bush (105)
04. Prince Phillip (96)
05. Zsa Zsa Gabor (81)
06. Hugo Chavez (79)
07. Kirk Douglas (65)
08. Muhummed Ali (49)
09. Ronnie Biggs (49)
10. Fidel Castro (45)
11. Christopher Lee (45)
12. Terry Pratchett (37)
13. Lindsey Lohan (30)
14. Clive James (29)

Van Cliburn has died, aged 78. As the only person to pick him for the great concert hall in the sky, I extend my lead at the top to fifty points. There is still plenty of time to catch me yet though.

01. Harry Lime - 81
02. Superdan - 31
03. Mister Coe - 29

For the record, I've gone for Bernie Nolan as my replacement.
