Jumper had the potential for a franchise.

Not really recent but I would love a sequel to Big Trouble in Little China that would be awesome. And who would not love to see JAWS 5 ? or GREMLINS 3 ?.

Needed more Serenity.

Yes.

Agreed although I would have preferred Firefly to continue personally.

Dredd is doing my fucking head in. There was no showing anywhere near me so I've been waiting bloody ages for the Bluray release. Seriously, what is it the fucking 80's again? I can't recall so long a turnover between cinema release and retail release in ages.

Dude, it was released in cinemas barely three months ago and its coming out on disc on jan 14.That means about FOUR months between cinema release and home video. How is that anydifferent than most films these days? Thats an extremlely tight release window!

'elektra' could do with a 3rd go, see how they finally got hulk right. and they should bring back jennifer garner too.

Would love to see that I loved the first Elektra film a lot I also think that Jennifer Garner was great as Elektra and is quite a good actress as well.

I'd quite like to see John Carter and The Gods of Mars. Won't happen now that Disney have the Star Wars franchise to play with, but still...

They got Hulk right four years ago.

I always liked Daredevil and think its a shame they made a crap Elektra film rather than moving forward on a DD2.

I'd love to see a new Daredevil especially if Ben Affleck was gonna star and direct it. Joe Carnahans version could've been awesome too.

Anyways....Sahara flopped didn't it? Thats a fun movie, I enjoyed it alot and always hoped to see a sequel.

Would have liked to see sequels to A Team and Green Lantern.

Also, even though it wasnt actually a flop, a direct sequel to Incredible Hulk with Ed Norton as Bruce Banner would have been cool.Especially since they set up The Leader to be the villain.

DREDD!!!

SUCH a shame. They finally got it right and it was an uncompromnising, balls out 18 action movie. The fact it flopped will mean that the lesson to the studio means PG-13 going forward and script by committe.

Lemony Snickett was a really good movie and was supposed to be a franchise. It did well on video but not well enough and there's been ill-fated talk of sequels ever since

Master And Commander - same story as the above.

Absolutely right. Okay, bad year for something so brutal to hit the screen but I'd hoped that the Dark Knight Rises would have shown the public that not all comic book adaptations need to be family friendly. Just hope it finds it's success on the dvd/blu-ray market.

Surely that's a reboot and not a sequel? Unless you want Keanu to go blond and British...

if we're going back more than a few years then why not change the proposed Masters of the Universe reboot into a post Expendable Dolph starring sequel and have Frank Langella make good on his Arnie promise at the end of the credits?

Absolutely this, although I'd much prefer a complete reboot rather than a direct sequel. For a long time now I've prayed for a new vision, ideally one without Courtney Cox and one NOT staged on Earth.

I think Warners, Universal and Disney should be thankful that you're not in charge of green lighting their films.

As should the viewing public in general .

I would like to see a good Green Lantern film though. There's plenty of material to mine for a good storyline so fuck knows how they managed to fuck it up so monumentally the first time around.
