Great report Ali Plumb but next time proof read before publishing on your site :P I love the LOTR Extended editions & great to hear he will do the same with The Hobbit. At least Mr Jackson lets us know there will be an extended version of his films unlike some companies that don't tell you just to make more money after they've released the first dvd.

I didn't think they'd have extended editions thinking they'd have had to put EVERYTHING into the films to be able to fill out 3 films but noooo. One thing is for sure PJ L-O-V-E-S looonnnnnngggg movies. Thankfully I do to. So hopefully it's a real extended edition like the LOTRs ones with a good 30 or so mins of extra footage you want to see & not like the obviously cash grabbing Avatar Special edition extended cut. This time though I'll be saving my money for JUST the Extended editions.

Quite a few reviews coming in that the first film is journey to nowhere and given the Hobbit was a couple of films material at most just WHAT can possibly be in an Extended Edition that will actually be worth watching. At the end of the day the reason Editors win Oscars is cos they cut out the tripe. Now directors seem enlivened to pump it back in to get some money out of the usual nerds.

too long as it is,dont care to watch again but will get the blu ray for my daughter when it comes out and i dont wont to sit through anymore than i need to,hobbit feels a very rushed production some effects are worse than 10 years ago, only another 6 hours to go.
