From: Sin City
Or: Vertigo 2.0. Luckily he admits in the making off that he and Paul Schrader got the inspiration for this film after seeing Hitchcock`s masterpiece. Would`ve been weird to deny it though, as even Stevie Wonder can see that DePalma was greatly inspired by Hitch.

But to think that when you`ve seen Vertigo you`ve seen Obsession is too easy. DePalma and Schrader made a couple of good changes in the story, among wich some good twists. That keeps it original, exciting and intense. His well known fluid camera work and the beautiful musical score (done by Hitchcock regular Bernard Hermann) create a great atmosphere and make sure that Obsession doesn`t become a weak Vertigo wrip-off but stands perfectly by itself that is excellent right up until and even after the twist.
Very strong film.
