 I don't know that one. But my wife bought a plug in device once and I found a mouse sat about 3 feet away from it

Was out with the neck-breaking traps then. Much more effective.

I have a plug in similar to this. It emits some kind of high frequency noise to drive out the pests. It works too because before I bought it the sound of mice running around the attic at night was really fucking loud and now there hasn't been a peep in 6 months. So yeah, it was a worthwhile purchase.

 My Mrs got one for spiders, it worked for a while but I think it's deafened them all because they seem to be coming back. The cat keeps the mice out.

Our council chap said if they worked it was really only to keep them out, not on those in - and they just got used to it.

Individual mouse traps were a bit inefficient - we went with the stuff the pest people use, something called 'pasta'. You can get it in DIY stores and it comes in bright blue or pink. Best thing is you never see the bodies as it makes them desperate for water and they run so they don't die around the poison but back in the hole they came from that you never see.

This stuff. Ignore a couple of the comments - there's one person who clearly hasn't bought the right stuff because pasta is just a name that vaguely describes the shape - it's nothing like pasta.

Cool. Yeah that sounds good (if harsh, i still feel bad even if I hate the things). The problem I was finding is that every solution has some bad reviews on amazon.

When our house had mouse problems, we got the humane traps - luring them in with chocolate ceral - then set the mice free in the park. I'm not sure whether they could have survived the park, but it's nicer than having them die in your house.

We had the council expert out for advice and he was really helpful. I'd panic bought tons of stuff and he said this is what he (and most professionals) would put down - it took less than a fortnight for all signs of droppings to disappear. We left a few spares under floorboards and behind kickboards in the kitchen and have had no site of them since.

Way he described it, it's a bit like dropping a big noise in the path of a graboid and watching it streak off anywhere but where you are.

Did they have mice before you put them in? The professionals didn't seem to think this kind of thing was up to much. If nothing else because any mice inside get used to them.
