IN case anyone wonders, anyone with a duplicate post in the lists thread was removed to allow people to get the spaces. Although, for the record, I tend to prefer a single thread as well.

Right. What are peoples feelings on a split thread? I'd prefer not and there are a couple of comments in the list thread. It seems fair, we think, to ask what people actually want.

So, for the moment, any duplicate or discussion posts in the other thread will be removed to allow people to book places. But please discuss in here whether you want THIS thread to exist come the end of the year or whether you want the 2013 discussion to go into the other thread as usual.

I'm not that bothered really, though I'm struggling to see a good point for it. As long as it was stickied, a seperate lists-only thread would work OK, I suppose.

Maybe try it for this year and see how it goes?

Prefer it all in one thread myself although I'm not particularly bothered.

I don't really get the point - so people can find their lists easier amongst the chat? But no-one is going to start a list after the first week anyway, I shouldn't have thought, so its only going to be the first few pages where the lists are. But again, I'm not too bothered. It might make it easier to check other people's lists this way, I guess, but only minorly.

I hate this idea because it was Homer's idea and I'm not here to make friends with Homer

I am now disappointed that I'll never know how/if Olaf responded to my prison marriage idea. *sulks*

For the record, I don't care either way. I don't suppose it hurts to try it for a year though.

I'm still very dubious THAT IT WAS PAUL who started them.

To be fair, it's actually the fault of whoever at Empire deleted threads without looking properly.

It's just more fun to blame Paul.

No, it's Paul's. The whole point is we need something to automatically remove spam - it just didn't occur to any of us that someone would try a post like that as a joke

How could the moderators suppress our correspondence like this. maybe our suggestions were just too radical for The Man to deal with. (by the way, I liked the prison marriage idea, though I suggested setting it on a prison ship in order to squeeze another life event in there.)

My Struggle, that could be the name of your autobiography. Although don't give it the English title. Makes you seem more intelligent if it's in a foreign language. Something European.

Do you think my ideas would be given more intellectual weight if I grew some snazzy looking facial hair for the author photograph?
