I picked them both out on t'blog as favourite cinema experiences of the year. Napoleon is dazzling, but Frances Ha is the best 2013 film I saw, and (please look away now and merely guess what I'm about to say), perhaps more consistent overall. They're both amazing, though.

I lost a good chunk of my list during the summer but here's the top 100 of the list I do have. Some of the placings are a bit off but at a certain point I just decided to stop going to the effort of placing them by merit and just put the last 5 star rated film (for example) I watched at the bottom of the 5 star section and so on for each score. Film titles only.
