This SF comedy didn't make much of a splash as far as I can remember, and seems to be largely forgotten now, but I think it actually managed to create a bit of Ghostbusters-esque magic. Nice deadpan humour and good banter between David Duchovney and Orlando Jones (who I don't remember seeing in anything else, but I like him). Dan Ackroyd also appears. The CG hasn't aged too badly.
Great Googamooga!

I remember seeing Orlando Jones in the Time Machine remake a year or so later. But other than that, i haven't seen him in anything else either. I quite enjoyed Evolution, it was a lot of fun.

Pretty forgettable and rather crude. The head shoulders jokes were a bit much.

Crude?- not really. There's no fart and knob jokes. The head and shoulders business only comes in toward the end, and they really don't make too much of it. Maybe you've misremembered it as its so forgettable.

Mrs UTB loves this with a passion but I've never particularly liked it for reasons I just can't place...

Probably because you're some sort of weirdo.

Love this film a lot and would love a Blu Ray Release.

I really enjoy this film, or at least I really enjoy it up until Dan Akroyd shows up. Not that he ruins the film but once the "play that funky music, white boy" scene ends, the fun just disappears. But I can watch the first 2/3s over and over.

Orlando Jones was in Office Space. I also saw him in ads for some buddy cop US TV show that never took off.

It's good fun. It's one of those films - like Independence Day - that's always on TV and as a result I've seen it a gazillion times. Always entertains.
