Does anyone know if the consumer survey attached to the site which redirects you to a �4.50 per week subscription competition site is valid or if someone has just attached it to the site?

It pops up saying you have been randomly chosen to complete a survey from the Consumer Group regarding Empireonline. It consists of a few questions re "how often do you visit this website etc. then directs you to a premium rate subscription competition service which appears to be more directed to people using smartphones (where it would be less easy to read the small print and take the charge). If it was just a survey I would not have thought much about it but the premium charging competition site redirect seems a bit odd. I have checked for malware etc on my computer which may have been sneaked in by this and there does not seem to be any.

Although I now have a weird link thing appearing where I typed a survey?

Which has now gone. I think to Malwareantibytes for me.

I think Empire would probably use e-mail for this - I'm sure they wouldn't apply pop-ups to the site or, if so, they'd warn people first. This does sound very dubious.

The Easy Inline spyware virus is attached to the pop up so people definitely need to take care. I removed it using Malwarebytes.

People have mentioned occasionally getting warnings on the site in the past but a pop=up that's mentioning empire itself seems to be a bit different and a lot more worrying.
