I doubt this is a new thread so not sure how long it will last before the mods get me, but, what do you think is the best name for a movie ever.

I'm talkin in regards to most descriptive of the movie, most intriguing, cleverest etc.

Bizarrely this came to mind seeing the title for the new movie 'here comes the boom' whilst the movie is likely to be wank the name rocks!

Snakes on a plane is obviously a winner but the movie diddnt deliver., and a big shout out to the very simple ' psycho' '

What is the greatest movie title ever!!!! And why!!!

Child's Play (can be seen two ways, one that it's a loss of childhood innocence in a film about a killer doll and two, it ironically suggests that it is not not going to be easy to deal with the threat)
A Nightmare on Elm Street (the 'A' suggests that this is just one of many nightmares......)
The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford (truth in advertising)
From Dusk Till Dawn (the title hints at vampires even when there are none until halfway through the film)
Killer Klowns From Outer Space (clowns are scary but the use of alliteration and spelling clowns with a 'K' let's you know it doesn't take itself too seriously.)
Hobo With A Shotgun (again, tells you what to expect)
28 Days Later (quite an ominous title......)
I Bought A Vampire Motorcycle (another title that explains the movie but it also lets you know that this is not a serious film. At all.)
Ghostbusters (just a cool, fun title even if it was nicked from a TV show hardly anyone remembered)
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (I think this is a lovely title for a film. Doesn't explain the movie and makes you curious as to what it may mean. Also, the words 'Eternal Sunshine' conveys happiness......)

My favourite movie title though is, somewhat quite obviously, Back to the Future. Reading it, it doesn't make much sense but it's a title that becomes clear when you watch the film.

A L I E N...maybe obvious but it's short and snappy, menacing, and it's just one of those words that sounds great when you say it out loud.

8 Million Ways To Die (interestingly (or not) the trailer for 8 Million Ways To Die appeared side by side with the trailer for Aliens on my old VHS copy of Commando).

Jaws. If you didn't know what it was about, I imagine it would have conjured up all sorts of images.

Liking horror films, I like titles that suggest horror, simply, which is all that is needed to let the imagination run wild.
I think Don't Look Now is fabulous. It sends shivers up the spine, even moreso after you've seen the film.
