This is sad news.

And I feel genuinely gutted for Gimli.

Awww, that sucks. I remember him from the show Grandad when I was a kid and then Dad's Amy repeats when I was a bit older. 92 is a bloody good age, though.

RIP Mr Dunn and don't panic!

His comedic timing was perfect. Jonesy is an iconic character that is as funny today as he ever was.True TV Legend.

R.I.P.

R.I.P. Clive. A master of comic timing and acting - he'll be much missed.

Wow, I know he was 92 but that is really sad. He reminded me so much of my grandfather that I always felt a strong bond whenever I saw him on the TV (more so than most other fictional characters or actors).

I don't care if I get accused of being silly for feeling sad over the death of someone I never met, this has put a downer on my day

He never really excelled his iconic Dad's Army role but has left a great body of work. 92 is a good run but it is still a shame he has died.

RIP.

Perhaps not entirely appropriate but I and others thought he was long gone already... I always assumed he was older than he was in the show!

Thinking back it was the children's television show Grandad which I first remember him from, long before I started watching Dad's Army.

I haven't thought about that show in years.

Really sad to hear this. He was perfect as Cpl Jones, creating one of the finest characters in comedy.

Yeah, I agree, and it was also one of the greatest ensembles to grace British screens, an amazing cast really when you look back at it.
