Mike Oldfield - we were discussing this is in the office at work the other day. Because I recognised it straight away I'm apparently old.

Walking in the Air so low.

If those Darkness bellends have beaten it then I'm going to be very annoyed.

A friend of mine did as well. He sent me a text to say they were covering Walking in the Air during the concert, that's why I automatically jumped to them in my annoyance.

Christ.

When I saw them, they did a fifteen minute section where Justin Hawkins went WOAAAAH-OOOOHHHHH and then held the mic to the crowd to mimic. No-one was biting.

He also looks like a guy I once threw out of my old flat at 2 in the morning. So that's even more reason for me to dislike the band.

Its good to know you are a kick them out when they've finished their thing kind of guy, not a sleep awkwardly and let them creep out while you pretend to be asleep kind of guy.

Well, it's not the Darkness you ought to be worried about....

there is also the Darkness, but something else might annoy you too.

Not that I'm saying anything

And yes, I concur with everyone that Walking in the Air is amazing. I have to admit, I'm intrigued about The Snowman and the Snowdog too - I wonder if the music will be half as good as The Snowman.

I hate Walking In The Air. It wouldn't make my top 70,000 Christmas songs.

For once, it wasn't sexual.

The Darkness were just Queen with a slightly less irritating lead singer though.

If you really were Gimli the Dwarf, the rest of the Fellowship would throw you off a mountain for holding that kind of opinion.

Same here. And I didn't vote for The Darkness either.

Only two I have voted for have been mentioned in the list so far

There's a joke in there about walking in the air/plummeting off a mountain but I can't find it.

You know how they all sing for Gandalf? They'd sing Walking in the Air for you. The big birds that are a massive LotR plothole would flap beside you and whistle it all the way down.

Darlene Love - wonderful.

The Killers - video is better than the song.

What matty said about Darlene Love.

Not what matty said about the Killers, but only because I haven't listened to it yet.

Embalming people alive is the cross-over. Strange, yet oddly unexpected.

I've never seen any Tales from the Crypt.

Louis Armstrong - very nice, but his voice always makes me laugh.

Tales from the Crypt - also made me laugh.

Jingle Bells - always fun to hear this.

And I would have totally voted for this if I could - http://twitter.yfrog.com/jnq2lpfmkddyvieotyneluabz

I'd like to see a full Jarvis version of White Christmas. I was briefly toying with having about three versions of it in my list, but went with this one in the end - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=299jCVPX4lM

As a heads up, I've buggered up the couting for number 76 - so we've actually got a top 101 songs.
