We have to vote it for now, this year. Because if years were seasons, this December would be the December of our December.

I'm tempted to vote for every song from that episode. So far my list features songs from Community, Kanye West, The Pogues and the Yeah Yeah Yeah's to name a few

I've already amended my list once so I'm not going to do it again, but I implore anyone who hasn't sent a list in yet to vote for this version of a Yuletide classic.

I have a Top 20 ready to go but there's a few I'm really not sure on.

In The Cold, Cold Night - The White Stripes

I saw it on a list for "Modern Winter songs" and thought hey I love The White Stripes so I put it on there.

Coldest Winter - Kanye West (the second Kanye song on my list )

Mainly on there for these lyrics (and just so I could put more Kanye in my list):

If spring can take the snow away
Can it melt away all of our mistakes

If they're not eligible I'll just replace them with something.

The White Stripes is fine.

The Kanye - it's not one of my favourites by him so I'm selfishly wanting to say no, but what the hey, he repeats the word "winter" so I'll let you have it.

Rinc, I've got your list - thanks!

Yay! And it wouldn't even make my Top 50 Kanye songs but I was running out of ideas very quickly for my list

I'm quite partial to a Christmas tune
What would I need to do?
Do I send you a list or something?

Karl - just compose a list (of any number from ten to a hundred) of the songs or carols you like then email them to the address in the opening post. Great to have you onboard!

I sent a list of thirty. (if it needs to be longer I can do so.)

also, anyone who hasn't put multiple songs by The Flaming Lips in their list needs to step it up yo.

Thirty is fine, though if there are more you want to put in, do so.

Some good stuff on it though.

Thanks
How are you going to work out "chart" positions?
Is it points depending where a song ends up in each persons list?

Yep - a points system based on positions.

This closes Friday evening so the countdown can start on the 1st - anymore lists to come in?

I did a list late last night, so probably forget loads of stuff as it was fairly stream of conciousness,it still feels a bit early to actively look for christmas songs.
