I think the Jackson's Santa Claus is Coming to Town is thee Santa Claus is Coming to Town, its song with such excitement. I do like Little Saint Nick alot, what I most like is the fact that it is so clearly Little Deuce Coupe with vaugely christmas lyrics.

Queen - trust them to suck all the joy and life out of the festive season.

Shaking Stevens - it's rubbish, but I love it.

Boo you - this is a decent Queen song.

And agreed with the Shakin' Stevens - my heart of hearts knows it's not the best, yet I love it.

This. I love the way calling it Queen bashing suggests a hate-crime.

Shaky, I had to sing that song as part of a school play production of Scrooge. It wasn't the most traditional production.

If Shaky made it, I hope Mistletoe and Wine has as well. "I do quite like Mistletoe and Wine, but I wouldn't want his buttocks in my face." And if you don't know Count Arthur Strong, that will make no sense.

Mistletoe and Wine sucks - luckily, I don't think it made the cut.

Oh, it's terrible. But it's forever linked with Shakin Stevens in my mind.

Mistletoe and Wine is better than Saviour's Day, you have to give it that.

Most things are better than Saviour's Day. And both are better than that Lord's Prayer bollocks he did.

Very surprised, and happy, that Thank God It's Christmas made the list. I thought it'd just me me that voted for it. Merry Christmas Everyone and Hark are both good.

Scarface, do you mean the acoustic 'Last Christmas'?

If so, kudos to you, sir, it is one of my seasonal favourites! It's funny how a cheesy Christmas song can become so moving when you strip it down to its bare bones...

Yep, tis a lovely cover One of my favourite tracks off Lipstick Traces.

Did I vote for that Jackson 5 song? I can't remember.

Hark! is brilliant, can't believe I didn't vote for it

I'll give a listen to the ones I haven't heard later.

St Etienne is very good.

Hark the Herald Angels..., Silent Night, O Come All ye Faithful - say what you want about Christianity, but they write some fucking great songs.

On that note, Gimli, did you see Pointless had a Muppets round the other day?

I was hoping Bob Dylan's version of Adeste Fideles would have made the list.

I hate that Elton John song. But then there's only about four of his songs I actually like. The Laura Marling is gorgeous.

Never heard of that Laura Marling song before, but it's great.

Chris Rea is decent.

I like Tiny Dancer, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, Rocket Man, Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me and Your Song.

That Chris Rea song is one of my least favourite Christmas songs ever. Rocking Around the Christmas Tree is great, but I prefer the Mel & Kim version.

No B-B-B-B-Bennie and the Jets? And Amoreena is a great song too, as is the one they used in Ghetto Gospel.

I think I must have forgot about it.

Waits and Garland appearing means that at least half of my top ten have been already. Here's hoping my number 3 takes the top slot then.

Well I'm not going to tell you...mainly cos I can't remember what your number 3 was.

Garland really didn't get as many votes as I'd have hoped - in the lists with her in, she was high ranking, but just not in that many lists overall. There's a song coming up I really dislike as well....

Should clearly have been in everyone's top 10.

I'll be surprised if my number 3 isn't in the top 10 at least. I've actually got a fair idea of what a lot of the top 25 will be, so I can't wait to see how many I get wrong. There's one song that hasn't been yet that I'll be thrilled if it's cracked this high in the list.

Goodbye England - Absolutely lovely, much like Ms. Marling herself.

Last Christmas - Yay, as I stated above I love this cover.

Christmas Card... - Brilliant, as most of Wait's stuff usually is. I told my Mum who is a massive Waits fan that this got in and she grinned from ear to ear

Have Yourself A... - Shit. I forgot to vote for this (and instead voted for the Carpenters). Shit, I love Judy Garland. SHIT SHIT SHIT.
