It sounds good. But I have so much to see, and haven't started watching any of the ever-growing list.

MA put the Manics song in this thread, under your post, instead of in the countdown thread.

Now I look like I'm talking nonsense.

It read like you were suggesting MA would love it in the wrong place, which was a bit far even for you.

No, I will try and watch it. I promise!

Though I am a little rushed for time at the moment, what with it being Christmas (yay), and the fact I have exams in January which I really should be revising for.

And goddamn it, I've just remembered I'm doing the HoF! Crapadoodle, I'm so behind!

I was going to mock tell you off for forgetting the HoF, but I found crapadoodle too endearing.  You need the deadline extended for HoF? We pushed it back to boxing day, but I can't see another extension being a problem.

An extension would be ideal - I've only got five to go, but I doubt I can get them watched by Boxing Day.

Being a bit fey, I obviously prefer the Garland version of Have Yourself... more than Frank's though his is not bad. Winter Wonderland is cool, The White Stripes awesome (Christmas is depressing for some) Johnny Cash is the most real Christmas song though obviously, due to it being Metal.

That and the Mariah Carey song are the only decent Christmas songs in the last twenty years or so.

Kermit is awesome.
Cash is great, totally forget to vote for it
Martin's Winter Wonderland is probably my favourite Christmas song of all time.
The Manics are superb but I voted for a different Christmas song they did.

Scarface, do you mean the acoustic 'Last Christmas'?

If so, kudos to you, sir, it is one of my seasonal favourites! It's funny how a cheesy Christmas song can become so moving when you strip it down to its bare bones...

If not, then I'd love to hear what you found...

Jackson Five - a bit of a 'meh' version.

I just notice you take a very dark view of The Ronettes, MA.

My internet has been fucked for the last week and I was restricted to a laptop I couldn't type on properly, so can't remember what I've commented on exactly, but really pleased Camera Obscura made the list. I was worried I'd be the only voter for it. I think I forgot to vote for Run DMC. 2000 Miles is gorgeous, as is the Charlie Brown song. The Darkness is the musical equivalent of diarrhoea and it's a shame it's above those great songs.

Jackson 5 is great. As are Eels. Lots of good songs were used in Scrubs... lots of shit too. At least it's not The Darkness though.

Meh is the perfect non-word for it - it's not bad, but I can't remember it, and I was listening to it a minute ago.

I'm fully expecting Queen to have made the list.

I think you fucked up the count, yo.

Yay for The Beach Boys.

Little Saint Nick is very far from being one of my favourite Beach Boys songs. Sleigh Ride's ace, First Noel's nice. Not heard that Eels song, I only know fo them due to Scrubs. Jackson 5 are ok, couldn't name a manic Street Preacher song if you paid me., Dean Martin's Winter Wondlerland is superb, Cash and The Muppets are great.

Eels is great, though I prefer the acoustic version.

The First Noel is wonderful and the Ronettes are superb.

Love the Beach Boys, but never been that fussed about their version.
