ORIGINAL: Brundlesflies Am quite looking forward to this, based on trailers so far. OK, it looks like it's got sweet f.a. to do with the original (fantastic) book, but to be honest I don't see how that would have translated to film all that, it's just too episodic. Even as a TV series it would have been all over the place - and I think would have suffered in comparison with Walking Dead. You're not wrong; it was always going to be difficult to translate a book like this, but is that any reason for them to totally fuck up the zombies? One of the first things Max Brooks makes clear is his interpretation of a zombie: "a moaning, shuffling corpse" (I'm paraphrasing but it's something along those lines), not hording, super-fast bus-tippers. Every shot of them just looks naff with completely soulless CGI. I'm trying to reserve full judgement until I see the full thing, but I'm apprehensive, to say the least.
