If there is one British film you need to see this year, Sightseers is it. The story follows Chris & Tina on a caravaning holiday through Derbyshire, Yorkshire and the Lake District to particular tourist destinations but all goes awry when Chris' dark side appears after having a run in with a litter lout (one of my pet hates too). I don't want to go into the whole story but the film is splattered with dark humour and gore throughout and is an original gem of a movie. Steve Oram and Alice Lowe are fantastic in their roles (and writers btw). I watched the film at the Leeds International Film Festival in the packed Hyde Park Picture House and the film went down a storm. 5/5, support the UK film industry and go see Sightseers.
