It's the release date and still nothing on the website! Come on Empire, I need to know if this film is worth my time on Halloween!!!

Given how bad the first film was and how awful this looks I'm guessing release without a press screening myself.

Maybe that's why.

I can't explain it but I like the first one! Rotten Tomatoes current score for Revelation implies the sequel makes the first one look like The Godfather

I wouldn't agree on this one, if it is the case there was no press showing. It would mean reviewers having to find time to see it on release and immediately get back, get through the editorial process and get the review up. For a sequel that opened yesterday that seems to be actively avoiding getting reviewed. If the distributor deliberately makes it difficult shouldn't it be them you criticise? And if it is that, isn't that enough of a review inofitself?

I'm not fully aware of how the reviewing process works but figured with Empire's clout they would see to it that all (fairly) major releases are reviewed by the day of release.

If the distributors have laid roadblocks to this on purpose then it's clear they know they have a stinker! It clearly is one, given the current 5% Rotten Tomatoes score.

I guess I'm just wedded to Empire reviews after all these years :-)

Maybe they saw the Rotten Tomatoes score and had problems finding takers
