Mine was Moonraker - which I loved (at the time) although watching some of it recently it's not aged well.

Actually I think I saw all the remaining Roger Moore Bond's at the flicks - Bond films were one of the few family cinema outings everyone seemed to agree on (Mum was never much of a sci-fi/fantasy fan

I don't rate it particularly highly these days, but at the time it blew me away.

Mine was Tomorrow Never Dies. I could be wrong, but I think it came out VERY close to Christmas. Was awesome to see a Bond on the big screen.

No, you're right, I remember seeing it right before Christmas at the end of my first uni term.

Seeing Living Daylights with my late dad at the big Odeon is a treasured memory. Like many I had grown up watching Moore on telly and the slightly tougher edge just made it all the more exciting for me. I think my mum was off suffering Sport Aid with my sister at the time. She got Rick Astley and Curiosity Killed The Cat. I got Bond. I won.

It came out on December 12th according to the imdb.

The Living Daylights is one of my favourite films, and Dalton is my favourite Bond.

It was released in the year I was born though, so I wasn't able to catch it at the cinema!

Die Another Day.

I still maintain that the first half is a brilliant film. The opening sequence and the sword fight in particular are two of the best Bond moments. Then everyone fucks off to Iceland and it falls apart.

I'm pretty sure most of the Bonds have been out Oct/ Nov/ Dec or at least all the ones since Goldeneye (the ones I remember being at the cinema)

My first was World is not Enough, I hadn't always thought that much of it, but watched it again recently and it's a favourite again

Well, many of us have also elaborated on the memories involved with that first film. For me it's a great memory because it involved my dad and it was my first West End cinema experience, so it's not just naming films.

This still doesn't answer my original question, though. For example I don't care for football. So why would I post in a football thread to announce how I don't like football? See? It would make one look like an attention-seeking twat.

They were up to TMWTGG (apart from YOLT and LALD) then it was summer releases up to LTK and then back to late in the year from Goldeneye on

Pretty sure that was mine too, either that or one of the Daltons but I can't remember wether I saw them later on video or at the pictures I was young at the time. Oddly enough while I have seen all bar Question of Sport (that never gets old

) have only seen three or four at the pictures.

Die Another Day. I'd seen every single previous Bond before hand though and was obsessed, so I was super excited about seeing this at the cinema, it wasn't as if I was dragged along or anything even though I was quite young at the time.

It's difficult with Bond to remember which I've seen on TV and which I've seen at the movies but I guess it has to be Moonraker as that was a 79 bond and that puts me at 9. I somewhat vividly remember it being so overblown with the Space Shuttle and everything.

I was 12 and decided to go see it with a friend, so Craig is the only Bond actor I've seen in the cinema's despite being born when Brosnan was Bond.

The Spy Who Loved Me.

Great pts, great song. However, my parents took me, and they were Connery fans and this was our first Moore film (though we knew him from The Saint). They bitched about him and the movie.

That said, we saw the film before Connery's You Only Live Twice had come on telly, so our frame of reference was stuff like Goldfinger and Thunderball, and Moore isn't really the same genre. It was a bit of a leap, and despite all the set-pieces and locales, the film does seem a tad flat and hollow for me. I was totally on board for Moonraker two years later though.
