Brilliant! In your face Momoa! (I like him really.) Now let's get Milius back in the director's chair and this will be the best movie news I've heard all year. The only fly in the ointment is that numpty from the Fast & Furious movies writing the script...

Arnie doing Conan again after the failed remake is crazy (in a good way obviously)

has this ever happened before? a series being rebooted only then a sequel made after the reboot failed? the closest i think of is Connery going back to Bond after Lazeby (but then OHMSS wasnt a reboot)

maybe Routh will be back for Superman Returns Again if MOS fails

Yay let's do a sequel to all of Arnies old films with him as the same character only ancient.

Lets wait and see if his Walking Tall remake tanks first.

The fast&furious movies are effective enough at what they're supposed to be doing - i'd be more worried if someone with a sense of gritty meaningful gravitas was picking up the pencils personally.

Awful idea, the second film was rubbish and I could not bring myself to watch the remake, might as well make Conan the Train Spotter.

This news is beyond amazing. Only last week I was ranting about how the 2011 movie was damaging for the Conan brand and was only dreaming that Arnie would pick up the Atlantean sword once more! :) He-Man and Conan and Thor for 2014. That's a bicep filled summer right there!!

I read somewhere when this news broke that the second film was being ignored in the continuity. I think this is great news - its a film I've always wanted to see ever since Arnie wore the jewelled crown of Aquilonia up a troubled brow (having become king by his own hand).

A message to Fredrik Malmberg and Chris Morgan.... DON'T SCREW THIS UP! No comic relief characters for the kiddies or pathetic attempts at humor. No bigger than life supernatural segways to excuse an abundant abuse of C.G.I. and for God's sake don't rush the script because Universal has a use by date of 2014. You only have one chance at this seeing as Arnie has said yes. You're dealing with an original film that has gained CULT STATUS ... do you understand what responsibility that carries??? It may be just another project the Film Co. want's to milk for cash but to the fans you have to opportunity to give them what they've been waiting for for over 30 years... DO YOU HEAR ME??? 30 F#^&*NG YEARS!!! Take the hint, this is Mullius' gig. Only he can do it the way it's supposed to be done. Arnie was a nobody in the film industry in 1982. Millius could have done what he did with almost anyone. Conan made Schwarzenegger, not the other way round. Yet since it's him in the original masterpiece, it's become just as much his gig as it is Millius'. Eat humble pie for the sake of the fans Malmberg & Morgan. Both the script and the Directors chair belong to Millius. Only he has proven he can do it right. All other attempts have been just bloody embarrassing. You want credit? Gain if from GIVING THE AUDIENCE WHAT THEY REALLY WANT... instead of risking a great opportunity to give life to Howard's character that's only had one true screen airing just because you want more glory for your resumes.
