When Tim Burton is remaking things like Alice in Wonderland and Charlie and the Chocolate factory it's irritating when he has made wonderful movies such as beetlejuice, edward scissorhands and big fish

Those are based on literary sources. Fair play to any director for wanting to create an alternative adaptation. But if it's just aping the previous film, then yeah it is fairly worthless.

I thought about that after I posted to be honest, I know what your saying it is fair play to do another adaption of a book but those Burton movies were basically just remakes of the original movies, I know technically his Alice in Wonderland was a sort of sequel but I wish he would make more original movies.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory >>> Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but surely we are only a few years away from Star Wars being remade. At that point, Logan's run will not only be a reality, it will become a necessity.

I once heard that they were intending to remake the Rocky Horror Picture Show and was horrified. Im not saying its a perfect movie but I just cant imagine anyone doing a better job than the 1975 version. I mean who on Gods green earth could do Frank N Furter better than Tim Curry? I dont think such a creature exists!

George Lucas agrees.

Unfortunately it seems the Horror genre seems to be getting picked to death by the Hollywood remake machine.
And I wouldn't be surprised if I read that Hollywood have released a Horror Remake every year, because it certainly seems the case.

Obi-Wan - Kenneth Branagh
Mace Windu - Michael Jai White
C-3PO - Simon Pegg

Star Wars Episode 0 would be like sitting in a planetarium... "BILLIONS of years ago!..."

Yes, yes...oh god yes. Hopkins and Sutherland also good choices. Would personally like to see Derek Jacobi as Palpatine.

Edit....Note: - Just seen that Ian McDiarmid is only 68, I would keep him if it's not a total recasting decision!
