I always loved the idea of having dinos on the mainland - but why not go for an extended time-shift to, say, 200 years in the future where man and dino co-exist? And no, I certainly don't mean ala Terranova. brrrrrrrrrr

Not sure if this fits in the 'Spielbergverse' and I can see why it got nixed, but the idea (and the concept art) would still make a cracking movie, lets face it, with the plethora of remakes being churned out it couldn't be any worse!

I've always thought do it as a prequel, go back to a young John Hammond setting up the Island. See all the errors he made first of all before we see the final park.

But that means tragically horrific genetic freak failed experienents an no running amok, doesn't it? Human/dinosaur hybrids are bullshit, they were bullshit in the game Turok: Evolution and seeing them in a film, even if done well, would mean (for me at least) an idea I've already felt to be bullshit for years, so wouldn't really bother.

Personally I don't think that human/dinosaur hybrids are much in the vein of Jurassic Park and I'm glad to read that the idea was abandoned. On another note, for anyone who has read Jutin Cronin's 'The Passage,' the top left picture is almost how I imagine the virals to look, anyone else?

Well the artwork is awesome but I'll just echo what others are saying that this is so far from the other 3 movies. human/dino hybrid is just as bad as greedo shooting first! My idea would be, have a planet of the apes style where dinos take over the world & keep humans as slaves :P

Great idea for another dino movie and why not. Why are the only dino movies in the last decade Jurassic Parks? It's practically a sub genre. So let's see more. Regarding JP4,wud luv to see it as a metaphor for the exotic pet trade.Starts in a South American thrift store with a backpacker buying a little compy and expand from there....u readin this Ricky and Mandy!

Can't get over how creepy those designs look. They should definitely be used in another movie, just not Jurassic Park. Jurassic Park is about dinosaurs. That said, it may have been a smart evolution of the themes of the first movie.

I think it's a brilliant idea!! So much better than the other Jurassic Park movies. I didn't like 2 or 3. Granted it doesn't really belong in the JP canon but with a little story tweaking I think they could bring this out as a stand alone film or franchise starter. I'd pay $20 a ticket to see these creatures battling dinosaurs in glorious IMAX. Just don't get Joe Johnson to direct. He's not a bad director but this isn't his kind of gig. You need Matt Reeves or Guillermo Del Toro or Garith Edwards (think that's his name -directed Monsters). But I soooo want this to happen. I'd fund it myself had I $200,000,000.

I cannot understand anyone who thinks this is a great idea. This is just awful and would have been the ruination of the franchise. It's the sort of idea that a teenage boy or a toy marketeer might come up with. It reeks of Alien Resurrection. Dynomen with guns? Sheesh people, grow some tastebuds. Thank heavens Spielberg still has some say. I can see him with his fingers on his chins saying, "hmmm that's not quite what we're after."

No,nononononononono..............NO! final say. How could they do that? Messing up franchise aside, its just wrong in so many ways. i know that the first three films were a bit repetitive - people go to island, some get eaten alive, survivors go home. But they don't need to splice homo/dino - please think of something else. :(

I don't think Jurassic Park IV would be his gig he would not show the dinosaurs till the last 10 mins of the film.

Making a dinosaur movie is very restrictive because you need to explain how mankind and dinosaurs end up being together. The other problem are dinsoaurs lived for at least 50 millions years and lived on all the continents. Their species varied so much when comparing to what continent they were on and what dinosaur era it was. For example you wouldn't find a stegosaurus together with a T Rex because the stegosaurus live in the Jurassic era and in Africa? The T rex on the other hand live in the Cretaceous period and in North America.
Michael Crichton had an excellent idea how to bring people into the center of a dinosaur story and have different dinosaurs from different ages all in one place. I honestly think Jurassic Park needs a reboot either in film or TV series.
