That was amazing, The shot of him coming out of the capsule was incredible, and that lingering shot of him jumping and dissapearing out of sight.... Following by seeing him gaining control after spinning for several seconds... great stuff!!

Also, can someone make an av out of that jump sequence out of the capsule? Need that shit!

Can you believe there are people out there calling it a an overpriced publicity stunt and it's one step in the direction of the privatisation of space plus apparently he 'just' fell. and anyone could have done that.

I don't mind the idea of privatisation of space. With NASA cutting their budgets the idea of big businesses trying to push space flight is a good thing.

What strikes me most from the jump yesterday was that most of the records he broke were set in the 60s. With the technology we have these days we should be pushing space travel etc. that the guys back then were attempting.

Yeah that is true, if NASA's not going to do it then other avenues are needed, The thing that pissed me off was the fact that some arsehole blogger who does nothing but write for his site felt a need to try and downplay what was achieved here when all they ever achieve is bitch and complain behind their computer all day.

We should ask these guys http://www.bloodhoundssc.com. This is the next big "stunt" to push to the limits I'm aware of. Building a 1,000 mph "car". My favourite stat on this is "the engines produce more than 135,000 horsepower - more than 6 times the power of all the Formula 1 cars on a starting grid put together!"
