As long as the film is good, and it feels scary and epic and powerful, nobody should give a gnat's pube how 'faithful' this monster is.

This is speculation but I'm thinking the 1954 Godzilla and the one seen in 2014 are not the same creature. I think the 1954 Godzilla will be killed by a chemical weapon and the giant skeleton seen in the trailer belong to it. Garath Edward said the skeleton belong to the Godzilla family but then why are there people wearing chemical suits walking through it bones and next to the ribs are recent human remains with most of their flesh still instact? There's something living in the fallout zone and my guess it's one of the monster the other Godzilla will eventually fight. It's very possible what killed the first Godzilla accidently created other mosters instead. There is more supporting this theory but I will have to spoil the movie big time by pointing out which character is from Toho series and what he/she did.

Caught the 3D trailer before 300: Rise of an Empire at the Imax on Saturday, this just looks so grand and epic. Really excited about it. Cranston's presence is really something to look forward to as well.

I had seen the leaked Wondercon footage and boy are the trailers misleading. I wouldn't recommend watching it because Godzilla first reveal at Hawaii airport is wonderfully shot and need to be seen first on the big screen. The way a black hawk helicoptor crash into ********* and bounce into parked jumbo jets is amazing. The explosion of the chain reaction and people in the terminals begin to flee in panic at the sight of ********. Then all of a sudden two giant feet just appeared in front of therminal window and it just an amazing money shot.

That sound so awesome Ghidorah! Like many here I'm so excited for this film. With that director (loved Monsters), cast and the awesome trailers we've seen so far, this just has to be good.

Can't wait to see this on the big screen. So bummed we don't have IMAX in my country

Yowsers - here's the Asian trailer, and I must say it pisses all over the Hollywood ones:

So who's lining up for their tickets now??

Really excited about this one.

Reviews have been really great too. I've seen it get compared to Jaws and Jurassic Park, which is a great thing for a movie like this.

I have to disagree. Legendary had went to great lengths to keep things spoiler free and had no other choice but to mislead the public. They could of easily done the Asia trailer months ago but the following trailers would have to top this by including the fight scenes and other spoiler material. Just be greatful there are going to be some very tense moments during the climax of the film. I know what they are because I had been following the film closely and I weren't aware this would be heavy spoiler untill it was too late.

Why didn't they just nuke him, I hope that's explained properly in the film.

Maybe because both the US military and Godzilla are fighting along side each other to kill the MUTO threat. Why would they turn their weapons on the only hope they got and nuke a populated city of 825,000 at the sametime? Besides the trailer shows Godzilla can survive a blast from a nuclear weapon and the Muto threat feed on radiation.

Some may consider this as spoilers so I will not spoil people fun, however there are several Batman Begins 'Joker card' throughout the film. They basically hinting what monsters we could see in the next film. The first one is pretty obivious, the 2nd is the centipide as a reference to the comic con trailer and I don't think it will go no further than that. However the third is very hard to spot and even a Godzilla fan I never made the connecton when I saw it.
