The horror genre is the one that is my weakest area. I have fewer horror films in my collection than any other genre. Fortunately, I have a couple of friends who are horror buffs, and over the past few months I've been raiding their collections. Of the 250 or so that I've watched over that time, these are the ones which have made the strongest impression. 50. Them! (1954) Dir: Gordon Douglas (Edmund Gwenn, James Whitmore, Joan Weldon, James Arness) 49. Nosferatu (1922) Dir: F. W. Murnau (Max Schreck, Gustav von Wangenheim, Greta Schroder) 48. Black Sunday (1960) Dir: Mario Bava (Barbara Steele, John Richardson, Andrea Checchi) 47. Comedy Of Terrors (1963) Dir: Jacques Tourneur (Vincent Price, Peter Lorre, Boris Karloff, Joyce Jameson) 46. Suspiria (1977) Dir: Dario Argento (Jessica Harper, Stefania Casini, Flavio Bucci, Miguel Bose) 45. The Wicker Man (1973) Dir: Robin Hardy (Edward Woodward, Christopher Lee, Diane Cilento, Britt Ekland, Ingrid Pitt) 44. The Omen (1976) Dir: Richard Donner (Gregory Peck, Lee Remick, David Warner, Billie Whitelaw) 43. Zombieland (2009) Dir: Ruben Fleischer (Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Emma Stone, Abigail Breslin) 42. The Black Cat (1941) Dir: Albert S. Rogell (Basil Rathbone, Hugh Herbert, Broderick Crawford, Bela Lugosi) 41. Dracula (1931) Dir: Tod Browning (Bela Lugosi, Helen Chandler, David Manners, Dwight Frye, Edward Van Sloan)
