I fear a lot of these gifs are unfunny out of context!

I take it you'll be watching Cuckoo next week, vad3r?

I fear you're probably right. After all, a five minute sketch reduced to two seconds isn't going to have the same impact.

I have no idea what that is sir. A quick search took me to a Russian historical war comedy released in 2002.

Andy Samberg doing a BBC sitcom?? WTF. Samberg isn't Matt LeBlanc. He's young, funny, talented and popular. I miss his humour on SNL.

Absolutely not. I'll pick up the DVD if it has commentary by Samberg on all episodes, which is a big if.

To answer your question seriously, it won't work because the sitcom format doesn't suit Andy's style. Especially Beeb sitcoms which are usually hyper realistic and true to life. Andy Samberg is much more suited to sketches or low budget, indie movies where he's free to be as OTT and silly as possible. I'm puzzled as to why Andy decided to do this. The guy must have a ton of offers from movies and TV networks after choosing to leave SNL.

Basically I'd like him to do what he does best.

Just saw the trailer. It looks like Gavin & Stacey but oh wait, instead of an English/Welsh relationship it's an English/American one. Oh Andy...

Promise?

Wiig, is that you? Are you giggling because I've reached the point where I'm starting to have conversations with my own GIFs?

Andy, do you share the same feeling as Wiig? Have I reached rock bottom?

Tad overdramatic exit? You could have just said no...

And now time for a bit of sadness.

These are Wiig's final scenes after seven wonderful years on the show (which was also the S37 finale). It ended with Wiig dancing with her cast members to Arcade Fire performing She's a Rainbow. When she arrived at Hader, you could see on the TV that she was crying and had to wipe the tears away. Which is extra poignant because I don't remember Wiig ever breaking character.

Many stars have come and gone on SNL, but Wiig's send-off was certainly the most emotional.

Well, you have a lot of great catching up to do master dwarf! I remember you said you love watching long running shows... well is 38 seasons and 728 episodes long enough for you?

Pretty much anyone who's anyone has been on it in some form or another. It's a really fun, prestigious show. I think you'd like it a lot.

Unfortunately, there's pretty much zero SNL content on YouTube due to rights. There's a few poor quality fan recorded sketches and snippets but that's it. Why is why I have to post GIFs on here instead of videos.

You have a PM Gimli.

Friendly piece of advice: Cut back on the gifs and your thread will get more hits.

Browsers tend to struggle with pages that contain multiple gifs. : )

Big fan of Kristen Wiig, but never actually seen her on SNL. I've never made it through a whole episode of SNL, I find it to be utter horseshit bar a few sketches here and there, which is odd considering the talent involved. I can take or leave Bill Hader, I dont think he's ever been really great in any of his film roles, perfectly servicable though I guess. As for Andy Samberg, I think the only thing I've found even remotely funny of his was Hot Rod, but even now I'm struggling to think why, cos I've a feeling if I watched it now I'd probably hate it. It may have had a couple of good slapstick gags (endlessley rolling down a hill seems to spring to mind - was that Hot Rod?). So yea, of the three, only Wiig is someone I'd go out of my way to watch.

I don't really watch comedy films. The best comedy is found on TV.
