OK, this is what I remember.

Its was I think a 1930's film, maybe 1940's. The guy was a wealthy businessman, in an unhappy marriage, he goes to a small town on business, and is hit by a car. When he wakes he has lost him memory and falls in love with a local girl and moves in with her, in a small cottage, they are very happy.

Then, he gets another knock on the head, and he forgets all about his new life but remembers all about his old life, moves back in to his unhappy marriage, he meets up with local girl but does not remember her, not sure what happens next but of course they end up all happy.

Must have seen this film about 30 years back, would love to get a copy!
