Into Darkness + 3D glasses = pitch black

Don't need to worry about darkness, there will be plenty of lens flare to go around.

Uhm, everything I've read about this title seems to suggest it isn't confirmed. Just saying it seems like an odd thing to report without actual confirmation.

something "darkness" this way comes. wearing the 3D glasses will tip the dark while watching StarTrek Into Darkness. i'm beginning to love the title "dark" for movies like these: "THE DARK KNIGHT RISES" and "THE DARK KNIGHT" and saying what Darth Vader we always says: if you ever knew the power of the dark side, joining the dark side is really fun. Star Wars fame of course.

I like it.

Just saying.

If Abrams 1st Star Trek is anything to go by, this will almost certainly be better than Wrath of Kahn

Although it might be fairly considered as jumping on the "dark sequels are cool" bandwagon, I can certainly understand their avoidance of Star Trek: Something. It's actually quite unique in that it uses the 'Star Trek' phrase in an organic way... as in Trek "into" darkness. And it feels mysterious. What might work against it is that there is supposedly still much fun and comedy in the movie.

Well, yes, using 'trek' as a verb is original in a ST movie title, but wasn't it first used in First Contact by Zephram Cochran when asking if the TNG crew were 'on some kind of star trek'?

I love Star Trek, but you can be guaranteed that this title will change before it's released, still, not as bad a title as the third part of The Hobbit.

...the title is really the least of it. It's the sequel to one of the few re-makes/reboots I have actually enjoyed. Abrams could've called it 'Star Trek Yet Another One All Right Yeah' and I'd still be lining up to get my ticket.

For what it's worth, though, 'Into Darkness' isn't half bad.

...but still, the title instantly brings 'Star Trekkin'' to mind. The phrasing fits. "Star Trek in-to Da-a-a-rk-ness"!...

There and Back Again? i'd say that was quite an apt title
