Any recommendations for music that is dark and beautiful to listen to?

Something along the lines of Clint Mansell or Radiohead.

Some great stuff in there. I'd add Stars Of The Lid to that list - saw them in a church in Newcastle four years ago with a huge back projection and it was one of the most mind-blowing performances I've ever witnessed,
