ORIGINAL: DONOVAN KURTWOOD I haven't noticed any loss of detail on the 3D Prometheus Blu, both look amazing Agree, they're both stunning. However, I think there was a couple of moments where detail looked less on the 3D image than the 2D, parts of the opening DNA sequence and the Isle of Sky scenes were the ones I noticed most as I didnt see as much detail in the darker rock on the 3D version. It's possible it's due to the picture adjustment for light on 3D? I dunno, and anyway it's a tiny tiny difference, really negligible, and I'd be amazed if youre average viewer of both could tell any difference between the two. I only noticed it in a couple of scenes where I was trying to get the best settings on the 3D image and was going back and forth between 3D and 2D and analysing certain parts of the picture in certain scenes to get things just right. There is also a difference in the resolution output between 3D and 2D on my TV, which is soemthign I understand quite common on 3D tv's, and would probably account for it. Either way, on a moving image, it's really not noticeable and both versions are, for me, reference quality.
