Watched Rio 2 3D the other day courtesy of Lovefilm, was an okay film, but the 3D was really good, lots of depth and the jungle foliage obviously helped. Also picked up Puss In Boots 3D for a fiver!
Also noticed that you cannot get the 3D version of Planes Fire & Rescue in the UK.

I hate to say it but from what I have been reading online Disney will not make it available in 3D anywhere. Some have said that Disney is stopping 3D for Blu ray I really hope that they are wrong.

Yeah Disney is especially screwing with the US market, a number of quite high profile releases haven't yet received a 3D blu ray in the US, such as Frozen, Need for Speed (Disney distribute this in America) and Maleficent.

Picked this up yesterday, movie of the year IMO. I love everything about it and the 3D is fantastic in it.

I rewatched this with a couple of friends last night (who loved it) and it's worth mentioning that the 3D disc is quite a bit brighter than the 2D. I noticed this on Monday so i turned down the brightness on my 3D settings for last night's viewing and it was a vast improvement. It's kind of like The Wolverine, where the 3D version is quite a bit brighter than the 2D, resulting in very washed out blacks. Best to turn the brightness down to the middle and then everything looks much better!

I don't think we need to worry just yet, 3D content seems to be forthcoming from all the major studios, it's just Disney in the US. Lets hope it stays that way and that they reverse their attitude towards the US market too.

The rather groovy looking Maleficent 3D Steel. Will watch the movie this week, blind buy.

Agreed would also like to see some more old movies get the 3D treatment and would love to see Jaws 3D come out . Nice looking steelbook as well. However I was not the biggest fan of Maleficent.

I caught The Lego Movie this week. A nice surprise, very entertaining with particularly good 3-D in the first half. Definitely up there with Life of Pi as 3-D demo material. Now, if I could just forget that damn song...

Godzilla doesn't have the strongest 3D in the world but it certainly does the job and the movie looks so amazing anyway, it all adds to the experience. I really, really like the movie, i just wish it had a more dynamic lead character. Taylor-Johnson is so bland. When they killed of Bryan Cranston's character so early i literally couldn't believe my eyes. I was just thinking "What the fuck are you doing?". That was a big mistake on the part of the film makers i think.

While the film does makes some mistakes killing Bryan Cranston character of so early being the biggest. I was still not let down by the film which was great as it was the film I was most looking forward to seeing . Agree the 3D was not as strong as I would of liked but I still enjoyed Godzilla in 3D.

If this had more engaging lead characters it would have been an excellent movie. Had Cranston been around for the whole movie i think it could have been excellent. As it stands it's a really good movie and there's nought wrong with that at least!

I loved Godzilla and really like The Amazing Spider-Man 2 a lot however I liked The Amazind Spider-Man better. However out of the two The Amazing Spider-Man 2 has the better 3D.

I just find the first Amazing Spiderman pretty dour and dull. The 2nd one is such a live action cartoon i can't help but love it!

Agree the 2nd one does feel like a live action cartoon but there is something about the first one that I like more but I love these more then Spider-Man 1,2,3. Also I picked up Guardians of the Galaxy 3D from Tesco really looking forward to seeing it in 3D.

The first one I like because the villain isn't the green fucking goblin. I mean, We've gone from Willem "Pantomime" Dafoe to Dane "Emo" Dehane.

At least The Lizard wasn't something that we'd had on film before and Rhys Ifans was good, I though.

The Lizard is pretty much my favourite thing about The Amazing Spiderman which is ironic as most people were saying he was the worst thing about the movie.
