Other sources are reporting that it's based on Frank Sidebottom. Jon Ronson was in his band for a time back in the 80's. Why are you not reporting this? I don't know about elsewhere but here in Manchester Frank was a legend (in his own life time) but sadly died a few years ago.

A film of the life of Frank Sidebottom would be great. The whole thing filmed with the papier mache head and nasal voice.

He was never funny.

The concept of man wearing a papier-mache head in order to portray to a fictional comedic character never made sense to me.

He was rather poor in terms of comedic value. Never inspired me to do that though.

You have to admit an interesting career choice for Fassbender if it was true.
