Melvin and Howard is a classic. It was directed by Jonathan Demme [who of course directed Silence of the Lambs] so right there you should know this is going to be great. It's about a down on his luck service station owner (Melvin) who claimed that he was named as the sole heir to the fortune of eccentric Billionaire Howard Hughes. what's even more incredible is that this is apparently a true story. Jason Robards plays the part of Hughes, Paul Le Mat plays Melvin (you'll recognize him as John in American Graffiti) and Mary Steenburgen plays his wife. really excellent movie with a great cast, great script and great director. what more could you want!!
