I can't say for sure but I wouldn't think so. it's a company-wide decision, not an Empire-specific one.

James,

I, like many people, have been waiting to here any news about the combined iPad and Print subscription but no news seems forthcoming as the date for it happening keeps being pushed back and back. I have been waiting patiently for this to happen, even if it will involve an additional fee for subscribers to have the iPad edition included.

I have just gone on the Total Film website and have seen that they are offering the interactive iPad edition of their magazine for £12.99 a year if you subscribe to them for the year, or £1.99 an issue as mentioned by the previous poster.

I have been a subscriber of Empire for many years now and was happy to renew a while ago in the knowledge that giving print subscribers the iPad edition also would make my subscription better value.

I am however losing patience in waiting for the mythical dual subscription to happen so am becoming very tempted to subscribe to Total Film for their iPad version and then looking to cancel my print subscription with Empire once it runs out unless any new updates can be provided about the likelihood of the dual subscription ever happening or if there could be something introduced to give print subscribers a discounted subscription rate for the iPad version.

I too noticed this. In fact if you take out a 30 day subscription with Total Film (1 issue) then it's just £1.50 per issue.

I much much much prefer Empire's content, hands down, but it's hard to argue with their prices (even if they do have *shudder* Alex Zane as a columnist).

I got tired of waiting for the fabled dual-subscription to arrive so cancelled my print subscription, but have yet to take out a digital subscription due to the issues some customers (albeit probably a minority) appear to have from reading these forums.

£29.99 for my first choice or £12.99 for my second?

I'm still leaning towards Empire at the moment but, as I'm told is typical for my gender, I just can't seem to commit.
