Oh damn - I forgot about The Thing!

Also, I think we can squeeze in another genre or two,

Sports/ bio-pics: Raging Bull
Muscial : No idea...i'll harken back to my childhood and put The Wizard of Oz
Comicbook adaption: The Dark Knight/ X-Men 2

Also, regarding Fantasy; I could've also put my childhood favourite Star Wars up there too, seeing as strictly speaking it is fantasy!

I was thinking a few more genres wouldn't hurt

Sports/bio-pic : Raging Bull/Amadeus (toss up)
Musical : Also never been a fan of the genre so would have to say South Park Bigger Longer Uncut
Comic book adaptation : Batman Begins
Foreign film : Oldboy
Foreign Animated : Spirited Away

Yeah Team America has some catchy songs, unfortunately "Everyone has Aids" isn't one of them "aids aids aids aids, everyone has aids".

Not quite sure what they were aiming for with that one

I know

Maybe they were after a 'Frankie Boyle' style reaction.

Well they it's a parody, in Rent everyone ... gets AIDS. I believe. That and they like offending people with their work just for kicks.

There will be several films that I'm not thinking of right now, and many of these are tossups with other great films of the genre, but here goes anyway...

Horror: The Exorcist
Comedy: Some Like It Hot
Action: Die Hard
Adventure: Jurassic Park
Fantasy: LOTR
Animation: The Incredibles
Epic: The Godfather (a huge tossup with Lawrence of Arabia, but The Godfather just edges it)
Sci-Fi: Alien
War: The Longest Day
Western: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
Romance: Four Weddings and a Funeral
Sporting: Rocky
Surrealist: Melancholia (does it count as surrealist? I'm gonna put it anyway)
Musical: Singin' in the Rain
Comic Book: Batman Begins/The Dark Knight
Foreign: Seven Samurai
Guilty Pleasure: Scary Movie (I think it's hilarious)
Film Noir: Chinatown
Crime/Gangster: Pulp Fiction
Christmas: A Muppet Christmas Carol

I like "The Avengers" 2012 movie related to action. In the movie all characters performed very well on the behalf of action stunts. I like its all script written by Joss whedon.

Good choices Swoz! The Quick and the Dead is an awesome western! I remember being awed by it on first viewing - and Sharon Stone more than holds her own in the film. She's a mean rootin' tootin' female version of Clint Eastwood! I love the shootout contests - some of the best scenes in the film. Its easily one of Raimi's best films.

Ah man - how could I forget Cinema Paradiso for my Best Foreign Films entry?

Thats the thing about doing lists - you're almost certain to overlook a favourite!
