I'm thinking about learning it as I always think it would be handy for taking notes and definitely something shiny to put on the CV. Plus it would be kinda cool to write in a super-secret code So, anyone know how to write shorthand? If you do, which variant do you know? How long did it take you to learn and how useful is it IRL (other than for pretending to be a spy ). I was looking at a couple of books/websites earlier and the ones that came up were Pitman, Gregg and Teeline. I like the sound of Gregg/Teeline as there is no distinction between fine/thick strokes, plus Teeline sounds easier to learn since it is based on spelling shortcuts rather than phonetics.
